Under general supervision of the General Manager, interact continuously with clients, promoters, artist’s agent and artist’s managers in efforts to solidify business.  This position oversees the Ticket Office for Paycom Center.

Box office – oversees the following functions and ensures objectives are being met by box office staff:

  • Directs and oversees the internal control of daily operations as outlined in the ASM Box Office Manual.
  • Oversees all event information between the promoter, facility personnel and the ticket company in a timely manner.
  • Works with event promoter and appropriate personnel to establish ticket pricing and seating configuration.
  • Builds and modifies all computer ticket events and issues computer access codes to facility management.
  • Coordinates the house scale for all ticket events.
  • Maintains communication with ticket company representatives for updates and/or revisions in computer operations.
  • Monitors daily ticket sales for all upcoming events and communicates information to the GM, AGMs, department heads and promoter.
  • Responds to customer complaints and service requests to maintain a positive rapport with the ticket buying public.
  • Establishes files on each event that consist of seats on-hold for the building and promoter, complimentary ticket vouchers, event audits and ticket inventory schedules.
  • Prepares and presents the final box office statement for ticketed events, as well as assists in settlements as needed. 
  • Responsibilities include but not limited to making sure contractual agreements are met and clients’ event requirements and changes have been made in a timely fashion.  On-duty staff/subcontractors ultimately report to the MOD through any Managers or Supervisors who are present during the event.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings, booking meetings and marketing meetings. 
  • Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with all other departments, tenants and clients. 
  • Lead efforts in creating strategies to increase ticket sales for events. Create new promotion/ticket selling partnerships with corporate partners and other innovative ways to maximize ticket sales.
  • Works with Marketing Department to identify and leverage event, building, ticketing and marketing opportunities with the tenants and partners. 


Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the box office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in marketing, public relations, business administration, public administration or related field and five (5) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, including record keeping and reconciliation
  • Ability to analyze data and figures
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule staff
  • Excellent customer service and public relations skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ticket office operations
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. 
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.

COMPUTER SKILLS                              

Must be able to operate a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software.  Experience with TM Host, Archtics, and AXS is preferred.
