Position Summary      

Under general supervision of the Senior Operations Manager, manage, coordinate, supervise, and direct personnel, subcontractors, and the daily activities involved in the successful cleaning execution of events and maintenance of both the Paycom Center and Prairie Surf Studios by performing the following duties personally and through contractors.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees all custodial services, including ordering supplies, scheduling labor, quality checking and implementing cost savings measures.
  • Overseas two in house janitorial employees at PSS and their supply needs within the facility.
  • Continually inspect the facility to ensure that proper cleaning is being performed at a high level on all facilities and areas.  Consists of pre-event and post-event walkthroughs of inner bowl seats, concourses, restrooms, suites, and hospitality areas.
  • Work with other departments to make sure all needs are met both with event and non-event days.
  • Work with pest control contractor on all needs throughout the facility.
  • Schedule kitchen hood cleanings and filter changes.
  • Schedule grease trap cleanings and maintenance.
  • Maintain, inspect and repair any related equipment through contractors.
  • Work with cleaning service provider to train all custodial workers, including supervisors and event attendants.
  • Review, approve / correct, and submit invoices for services and products. 
  • Purchase all cleaning supplies including paper products, liners, chemicals and equipment.
  • Oversees the building grounds, ramps, stairways, plazas and entryways to present a well-kept and clean appearance at all times.
  • Create schedules, reports and other administrative requirements of the custodial operations.
  • Act as building liaison with labor providers, salesmen, and other suppliers to guarantee best rates and prices. Also, negotiates agreement for dispensers and other equipment.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are enforced.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.  
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the industrial cleaning techniques, chemical and industrial paper products, purchasing guidelines and employee management principles.
  • Possess skills and experience in labor relations and supervising / training personnel.
  • Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility (requires personal mobility) lifting up to 50lbs, carrying, moving, climbing steps and in a moderate to loud environmental.
  • Able to operate light equipment: pallet jack, light truck, scrubbing machines, pressure washers and other light power-driven equipment.
  • Operate a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares facility for shows including chairs, stages, tables, drape, stanchion and other equipment as assigned.
  • Participates in the installation of basketball courts, ice surfaces, subfloors, and retractable seating as required for the event.
  • Performs exterior cleaning of plaza and steps.
  • As needed cleans interior and exterior glass.
  • Disposes of all waste, including bulk trash removal from building in all areas.

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, performs work as needed to maintain and repair facility operating systems and prepare for and support conduct of events at the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tiles, door hardware repair, and correcting simple plumbing problems, as required.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.
  • Record and complete work order slips and compile all required reports in a timely and complete manner.
  • Promote a safe working environment for all employees by following the life safety and emergency program as needed.
  • Manage equipment storage areas to maximize usage.
  • Operate equipment, such as, pallet jacks, forklifts, aerial lifts, or other power driven equipment.
  • May occasionally have to enter areas where fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals are present. Work at heights using correct safety equipment.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Develop and submit lists of necessary repairs and improvements.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

Position requires ability to:

  • Be familiar with operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services and technical requirements anticipated at the facility.
  • Know general techniques in plumbing, carpentry, and building hardware maintenance and electrical/lighting systems.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management and emergency procedures.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job. Must perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving and climbing.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

  • High School diploma or GED

SUMMARY: ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Police Officer for ASM/OKC. The Police Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons, staff, vendors and property. They are responsible for documenting any incidents when they take police action while working for ASM and on any ejections, disturbances or problems that may arise. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Enforce violations of city ordinances, state statutes and federal laws while working in an off-duty capacity on the premises.
  • Perform security during events to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants and others on premises
  • Respond appropriately to any requests from building staff on disturbances
  • Tour post regularly to assure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, others and property left on premises
  • Assist and handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events at either facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individual(s) to designated area and/or off the premises.
  • If an ejection is made the necessary report are completed to document the incident.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside the premises
  • Assist with pedestrian and traffic control of patrons entering and exiting the premises
  • Control unusual circumstances and events during fire, storms, civil disturbances and other emergencies
  • Complete required reports and notifications in accordance with ASM’s and OCPD’s policies and procedures

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has minimal supervisory responsibilities. In the event supervisory responsibilities are temporarily assigned, they must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM’s and OCPD’s policies and procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job, an individual must be a full time employee of the Oklahoma City Police Department and eligible to work off-duty in accordance with the Polices, Procedures and Rules of the OCPD.

 

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE

  • Currently employed as a full-time employee of the Oklahoma City Police Department
  •  Previous training on directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic

 

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Ability to operate and effectively communicate on a radio
  • Ability to handle conflicts, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations
  • Effective negotiation and mediation skills
  • Ability to work well with other staff members in the facility projecting a positive and professional image
  • Professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean OCPD uniform
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Maintain the highest standards of business ethics
