LEGENDS GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Building Service Worker at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Building Service Worker/ Conversion Staff, under supervision of the Conversions Manager / Senior Operations Manager assists with activities involved in the successful preparation and execution of events at the facilities. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares facility and equipment for shows including chairs, stages, tables, drape, stanchion and other equipment as assigned.
  • Participates in the installation of basketball courts, subfloors, and retractable seating as required for the event.
  • Disposes of all waste, including bulk trash removal from building in all areas.
  • Clean and maintain all areas assigned.
  • Reads, understands event work orders.
  • Coordinates work with all operations sections
  • Maintains a safe working environment.
  • Attends to and conforms to the policies established by Legends Global in the successful performance of this position.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and company vehicles.
  • Uses equipment as required upon completion of training in a safe manner and as directed by operational standards i.e. forklifts, scrubbers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.
  • Work on special projects as needed.
  • Research, review and recommend equipment, materials and supplies required in providing operational services and planning.
  • Coordinate service needs for building and event operational needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Prior conversion and/or event experience in an arena, convention center or other similar public assembly facility preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to this job:

  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, alone, or with or without direct supervision.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to follow written and/or verbal instruction.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – the physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. SUMMARY – Under the direct supervision of the Operations Management this position will perform various physical tasks to set-up and tear-down equipment and materials for arena and convention center events, as well as, clean and maintain the facility and provide other operational tasks as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following.  Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Prepares facility for shows including chairs, stages, tables, drape, stanchion and other equipment as assigned.
  • Participates in the installation of basketball courts, ice surfaces, subfloors, and retractable seating as required for the event.
  • Performs exterior cleaning of plaza and steps.
  • As needed cleans interior and exterior glass.
  • Disposes of all waste, including bulk trash removal from building in all areas.
  • As needed cleans and sanitizes restrooms.
  • As needed sweep & mop areas and shampoo carpets as assigned or needed.
  • Clean and maintain all areas as assigned.
  • Reads, understands event work orders.
  • Coordinates work with all operations sections
  • Maintains a safe working environment.
  • Attends to and conforms to the policies established by SMG in the successful performance of this position.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and company vehicles.
  • Uses equipment as required upon completion of training in safe manner and as directed by operational standards i.e. forklifts, scrubbers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
